On Sunday 12th August Athy hosted the 2nd Waterways Ireland & Athy Triathlon Club Family Aquathon Relay. This is a unique and special event. Made possible only by the ongoing and outstanding leadership from our clubs Junior Development team (Karen & Padraig Kavanagh) and the great support shown by club members who helped set up, marshal and clean up over the weekend. Thanks also to the Athy Rowing and Canoeing Club for allowing the use of Clubhouse facilities and for providing the water safety support. Not only were they out on the water with us this from 7am, but they were out the previous day working hard to clear the weeds & reeds for the …event. Amazing support and great to see the towns clubs collaborate.
