The weekend of the 17th and 18th Jun saw a large number of the ATC crew partake in running events.
First was StoneMad event on Saturday 17th, that consisted of half, full and ultra marathon along the River Barrow. Insane heat, and the, inevitable, sun trap that is the barrow track caused many a struggle. Each and every entrant deserves the utmost respect for taking on this event in those conditions. Well done to all involved. Special shout out to Elaine Connolly who was first female home in the half marathon event.
On Sunday, another local event, the Thoroughbred Run in Kildare. This consisted of 5k, 10k, half and full marathon events. Again, another scorcher of a day but a great turnout and fantastic achievements by all. Many achieving PBs to boot.
